knit happens
I finished my eyelet poncho while watching Lars and the Real Girl this week! The movie ended, and lo and behold, I finally had it long enough to bind off. All I need to do is block it open and stitch it together.
My order of Knit Picks' Essential sock yarn came in the mail to start a pair of Nine-to-Five socks for a sock-of-the-month club. I'll have to decide between "pumpkin" and "grass" before I cast on. Although I love how soft the yarn feels, I wish it came in more colors.
I found the time this week to jump on the Clapotis bandwagon only to discover that I did not buy enough yarn! I bought a gorgeous hank of Tess' Designer Yarns in a subtle blue-black variegation. Only Knitty updated the pattern since I printed it out three years ago and added an extra skein. Now I need to find a pattern that calls for 550-600 yards of worsted weight yarn or combine the skein with something else. pooh.
And I'm still cranking away on the bright purple sock!
